What pops up in your mind when someone says global warming? Pollution right? Okay now what do think when pollution comes up?? Factories, industries, etc. But who is the blame for all this pollution? Who is the blame for our earth’s destruction? Most people blame global warming on countries like Japan, China, and America, when in fact it’s actually us, humankind. Why you ask? Think about it, all we ever do is COMPLAIN about what’s going on with our planet. We never take charge or do anything about it. That’s just how our society is like today. We complain or give excuses on why we don’t try to help save the polar bears or recycle and conserve energy because we’re “too busy.” There is no excuse for not recycling, the only reason why we don’t recycle is because we don’t care. But then again why should we? It’s just earth right? I guess we could always move to a different planet or something. I mean we’ve always found new ways to adapt. Or we could at least try to save our planet. I really don’t think we have much of a choice, its now or never. So I will present humanity with a challenge. You could actually do somethingabout global warming. Or you could just sit back and a complain and give excuses, like we as a society usually do when we’re faced with an obstacle, and let the earth burn or destroy to shriveling bits…your choice.

Here are 10 easy tips you should follow to live green

.Purchase fruits and vegetables that are organic. Organic foods avoid the use of pesticides. This is better for the environment, as the produce is grown naturally.

Cut down on fuel usage. Try walking to places instead of taking your car. If that is not possible, consider carpooling or taking public transportation systems, such as buses or trains when you can. The less fumes in the air the better for all of us.

Recycle household items. Give old clothes as a donation to places like Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Use rechargeable batteries. Organize a neighborhood yard sale to get rid of things you no longer want or need.

When gardening, create a compost pile for fertilizer. Don’t opt to buy fertilizers from stores.

Use a canvas bag that can be used over and over again when you go grocery shopping. Do not accept the plastic or paper bags that the store offers.

Invest in a water-saving showerhead. You can find these low-flow types online at Enviro Friendly Products. Help conserve water by taking this step.

Consider buying things in bulk. It saves you money and requires less packaging materials.

Save energy by installing a programmable thermostat to heat and air condition your home.

Pure soap is biodegradable and breaks down completely. Choose a soap that is pure, such as Dove. Avoid soaps with synthetic scents or colors.

Make a bird feeder out of recyclable products, such as a milk carton. Feed the birds and help the environment at the same time!

My Thoughts On Going Green By Bryson T. Cartwright

Most people don’ t care about the earth. i mean if you went around askin people  if they cared about the  earth of course they’d say yes because they live hear, but in the long run they dont.  littering in reality destroys the earth and so does these other little things that seem like they dont matter but it all adds up to one sum…. no Earth.

It is really important for people to go green now. We need to all try to help and save the earth. There are many ways for us to help the earth and save energy. If you try to save the earth it will not only help the earth but it will help you save money. So that is why everyone should go green!!!!

   Going Green This Summer Try These Steps:

1. Consider Consumption

Consumption is a basic consideration when it comes to going green with your office. A primary goal should be to consume less. With this in mind many little examples, and probably a few large ones, of where you can decrease consumption will turn up. Over time your going green attention will result in finding many ways to cut down on waste, which in turn saves you money while helping the environment. The simplest going green consumption fix for the office is to get in the habit of turning off computers and other appliances when not in use. When it comes to paper, implement a green office policy of printing on both sides wherever possible and go paperless wherever possible.

2. Implement a Green Office Policy

Take a few minutes to write up a simple green office policy regarding your green business ideals and goals. This might include topics such as consumption and notes about problem areas. Your green office policy should also cover such things as recycling, as well as the how and why your office has adopted the recycling policy. Distribute your green office policy to all employees and post it on the company website.

3. Buy Recycled Office Products

Items like paper, toner cartridges and plastics of all kinds are now more available in recycled versions. These are generally the same price or cheaper than comparable office products made from non-renewable sources, so take a look at all the products you buy and make some switches to recycled or otherwise green office products.

4. Replace Incandescent Bulbs with Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

Compact fluorescent bulbs use a fraction of the energy and last much longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. These cost about 4 times as much as incandescent bulbs, but actually turn out to be cheaper when you consider how much longer they last. Then there is the reduced cost of electricity used, making the switch to compact fluorescent bulbs a simple going green office policy.
